Album Of The Day: Jimmy Eat World – Clarity

jimmy eat world - clarity album cover

A Much slower album than the amazingness that is “Bleed American” but I think still better than the later albums and it was this album that got them dropped from Capitol Records because it was a bit of a commercial failure. This wasn’t all bad though because it gave them time and space to make Bleed American.

As is usual with commercial failures it has now become a bit of a cult album and is often said to be one of the best records of the 90’s in alt rock and emo circles. Capitol Records fucked themselves over a bit there really…

Best song is “Lucky Denver Mint”
