Album Of The Day: Izzy Stradlin And The Ju Ju Hounds

What do you do if you are the best part of one of the biggest bands of the 80’s and you have just left the band? Well if you are Izzy Stradlin and you used to be the rhythm guitarist of Guns n’ Roses (and you wrote all of the good songs) you start up a new band that plays pub rock with a reggae influence and release an album with no label and try to purposefully keep it out of the mainstream.

Going back to an old skool sound, Izzy Stradlin paid homage to heroes like Keef Richards and Ron Wood (Track 9 is a Ron Wood cover)  by playing a good time rock n roll sound that had Hammond Organs, tambourines, and twin guitars everywhere keeping an upbeat vibe.

Best song is probably ‘Train Tracks”
