Album Of The Day: Ted Nugent – Self Titled

Ted Nugent - Self Titled AOTD

Ted Nugent is as far I can tell an actual mental head, I’m not sure if I dreamed it or not but I’m sure he had his own MTV show or something where he did Bear Grylls style stuff and taught you how to shoot things. He is also not someone I would ever choose to talk politics with as he is so conservative I’d be scared he would shoot me on sight. However he can write some pretty damn good music and the song ‘Stranglehold’ has become one of my main drinking songs, quite ironically really considering he was cited as one of the early influences for straightedge…

This is the first album he released as a solo artist and the only song it is missing to make it perfect is Cat Scratch Fever from his 1977 album.

Best song on the album is obviously ‘Stranglehold’
