Album Of The Day: Horrorpops – Hell Yeah!

Horrorpops hell yeah album cover

Psychobilly today from Denmark, similar to Rockabilly but with a bit of punk mixed in. With songs  mainly based around horror and love themes they muster up comparisons with ‘The Cramps’ and fuse that with more modern day pop punk sensibilities. Of course the mandatory double bass is all over this record and the beat booms away whilst surf style guitar picks out tunes over power chord riffing.

The best song is ‘Ghouls’ with a chaotic opening not dissimilar to a Living End song.
