Album Of The Day: Manchester Orchestra – Mean Everything To Nothing

Possibly the only time I will ever put a band that most people refer to as ‘Indie’ on my Album Of The Day but rest assured this isn’t some coldplay or Kaiser Chiefs shite, think more My Morning Jacket mixed with a grungey version of Weezer and you have it about right.

It has been on so many best of the year lists for 2009 that I worried it would be another over hyped NME favourite, that was actually just a bit wank but luckily they have the music to back up the praise and at the moment I can’t stop listening to this album.

Best song is slow burner ‘Pride’

Vodpod videos no longer available.
