Album Of The Day: Thursday – Full Collapse

Thursday Full Collapse Album Cover

OMGZZZZZZZZZZZZ EMO NOOOOOOOOOO!

I can imagine that’s what most people are thinking now, you are of course completely wrong but I wont go into that whole palaver. Instead I think if you go into this with an open mind you will find out it has more in common with late 90’s shoegazer indie, just played by a bunch of hardcore kids, they even wrote a song called Ian Curtis on the first album ‘Waiting’.

The new album ‘Common Existence’ see’s the band at the heaviest they have ever been and it was probably influenced a lot more by Geoff Rickley’s side project United Nations. Whereas Full Collapse captures them at their loud/quiet introspective best.

Best song on the album ‘Autobiography Of A Nation’ an absolute masterpiece.
