Album Of The Day: Megadeth – Rust In Peace

Another band playing this years Download festival, Megadeth have always been overshadowed by Metallica but unlike Metallica they haven’t, as of this moment, released an album as poor as St Anger. I see Megadeth as a metal AC/DC, constantly churning out great album after great album without the need to alter their sound one little bit.

This album though is IMO the most complete and perfect Megadeth album and even, dare I say it, one of  the best thrash albums ever. Best song is the opening epic ‘Holy Wars…The Punishment Due’
